Dragon Gym Phoenixville is a martial arts and fitness organization and the fourth Dragon Gym in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Our martial arts schools are currently run by Somnath Sikdar, Lawrence (Lonnie) Beck, and Chris Taylor—a dynamic team that has trained together since childhood and remains dedicated to serving the local community by teaching the benefits of martial arts, physical fitness, and healthy living in this modern era.

We are a Tae Kwon Do and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school conveniently located off Nutt Rd. (Route 23) on Starr Street in Phoenixville, PA, just minutes away from Collegeville, Chester Springs, Royersford, and all parts of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. We’re located on Starr Street in the ACME Shopping center (Starr Street Village), with plenty of well-lighted parking and easy access!

The Dragon Gym is one of the oldest and most well-established martial arts schools in Chester County. Originally based in the heart of Exton, we are now happy to serve the families of Phoenixville, Kimberton, Chester Springs, Collegeville, Spring City, and the Royersford Area.

We pride ourselves on our community involvement and enthusiastically support organizations like the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, We Defy Foundation, the Lord’s Pantry in Downingtown, Philabundance, UNICEF, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Dragon Gym Phoenixville is located on the south side of the ACME shopping center in Phoenixville, PA.  In this center, you'll find the ACME Grocery Store, the Habitat for Humanity, as well as many other retail shops.

You can get some grocery shopping completed while your kids are in their martial arts class!

When you enter the studio, you'll be greeted at our front desk by one of our instructors and staff.  There's plenty of seating both inside and outside of the school for you to sit and watch your child's taekwondo classes if you like.

Here's another view of Dragon Gym Phoenixville's lobby and parents' waiting area.  On the wall, you'll see our belt progression system and the "Dragon Gym Precepts". 

The Dragon Gym Precepts is a value statement posted in all of the Dragon Gym.  It states what we believe and the underlying philosophy of what you'll be learning.

Finally, although DG Phoenixville might just look like a storefront from the outside, it is a spacious martial arts school on the inside.  The training area is fully matted and mirrored.  This provides an optimal and safe learning environment for our children and adult students.
